The Senior Analyst, Hotel Revenue Management & Analytics reports directly to the Director of Marketing Analytics.  The primary focus of this role is to improve profitability of our primary product line, DreamTrips.  DreamTrips are the signature travel product offered by Rovia to members of the WorldVentures DreamTrips travel and lifestyle club.  DreamTrips are custom-curated vacations that offer memorable travel experiences to top destinations around the world – all with a unique sense of community and offered at a great value.  DreamTrips are built for groups of travel club members ranging in size from 20 to several thousand and include both land and cruise experiences.

Responsibilities

- Work with OTA Commercial Director and an outside vendor (QL2) to incorporate large amounts of hotel industry price comparison data into our systems and develop pricing strategy using revenue management principles
- Refine tour package cost structure and incorporate into more sophisticated product pricing across regions
- Analyze and develop pricing promotions to address ad hoc needs
- Ability to perform financial analysis on the product line, developing product P&L’s, margin analysis, and evaluate, forecast, and track the financial effect of various actions
- Develop enhanced customer analytics and incorporate findings into trip analytics to improve planning
- Work with various leaders within Product Marketing to define performance metrics and create monthly business reviews
- Find, improve, consolidate, organize, QA, analyze, and present or report on, large amounts of DreamTrips data from multiple sources
- Adjust to and work with information uncertainty, changing priorities, and a data infrastructure and process that are works-in-progress.
- Work with BI to develop reports and tools that facilitate efficient ad hoc reporting and trend analysis
- Develop the ability to use booking curves to better the monitoring of trip performance and enable promotional tactics where necessary

Qualifications

  • 7+ years experience in financial analysis, reporting analysis, or statistical analysis, with at least 3 years of travel industry experience
  • Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Finance or Statistics OR equivalent experience
  • Experience in pricing and revenue management
  • Proven experience with manipulating large data sets in Excel to extract useful information
  • Demonstrable experience building financial models in Excel
  • Ability to develop reports, presentations, and conduct meetings for a range of participants to clearly present data points to facilitate data driven decisions.
  • Proven self-starter able to develop new solutions, learn new systems, and uncover insights and trends not easily identified.
