The Sr. Analyst of Travel Data Analytics reports directly to the Director of Marketing Analytics.   The primary focus of this role is to provide detailed analytics and actionable insights to support execution of our core operational practices, building DreamTrips, to include costing, pricing, volumes, margins, and workflow.  DreamTrips are the signature travel product offered by Rovia to members of the WorldVentures DreamTrips travel and lifestyle club.  DreamTrips are custom-curated vacations that offer memorable travel experiences to top destinations around the world – all with a unique sense of community and offered at a great value. 

 

Responsibilities

- Work with DreamTrip Commercial Director to develop an annual DreamTrips product plan, maintain and develop reporting and analysis to support the delivery of that plan. 
- Work with regional Procurement teams around the world to aid in tracking production and performance-related data, as well as pricing support
- Become highly proficient in extracting data from various systems, to include OptimumHQ and QlikView, to compile data for analysis and reporting.  Requires extensive downloading of data into Excel, quickly matching/merging data from different sources, and creating a digestible format for various departments and senior management.
- Use data to refine understanding of tour package cost structure and incorporate into more sophisticated product pricing across regions, becoming the primary expert on unit costs and DreamTrip pricing
- Maintain a pricing model in Excel and its integration into OptimumHQ, working closely with OptimumHQ programmers to continue to develop our workflow and pricing system
- Continue a monthly executive-level business review package, periodically defining new performance metrics and dashboards which address current needs
- Find, improve, consolidate, organize, QA, analyze, and present or report on, large amounts of travel-related data from multiple sources
- Adjust to and work with information uncertainty, changing priorities, and a data infrastructure and process that are works-in-progress
- Create structure around trip data, incorporating contract data, operational data, and invoice data, which facilitates efficient ad hoc reporting and trend analysis

Qualifications

  • 7+ years experience in financial analysis, reporting analysis, or statistical analysis
  • Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Finance or Statistics OR equivalent experience
  • Experience in travel, tourism, or hospitality industries highly desired
  • Proven experience with manipulating large data sets in Excel to extract useful information
  • Demonstrable experience building financial models in Excel
  • Ability to develop reports, presentations, and conduct meetings for a range of participants to clearly present data points to facilitate data driven decisions.
  • Proven self-starter able to develop new solutions, learn new systems, and uncover insights and trends not easily identified.
