The Travel Development Planner is responsible for providing engaging and timely travel related updates to our members traveling on our travel product called "DreamTrips". The role is also responsible for collecting key member details, providing vendors with traveler details, coordinating transfers and providing support to in-destination support staff to ensure readiness and knowledge to help ensure overall member satisfaction in-destination.

Responsibilities

- Obtain member flight details, provide confirmations and schedule corresponding transfers on assigned DreamTrips
- Manage DreamTrips rooming lists, provide to vendors and request invoice
- Coordinate welcome tables, receptions and menu selections on assigned DreamTrips
- Coordinate special member requests tied to DreamTrips bookings (room requests, language, special needs, etc..)
- Identify top restaurants, attractions, cultural activities, transit options, currency information and calendar driven activities for appointed destinations in order to help enhance member knowledge, trip preparation and overall in-destination experience for members.
- Create and communicate relevant destination details and travel updates to members for appointed destinations via appropriate communication channels (social media, email, etc…)
- Create an in-destination packet of key information (currency, attractions, dining, transit options, weather, travel alerts, passenger details, etc..) and detailed itinerary for support staff on all appointed destinations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure trip communications and in-destination experience are aligned with initial trip design requirements.
- Adherence to defined timelines and deadlines for providing both members and in-destination support with appropriate support and updates.
- Ensuring appropriate communication channels and professional language is adhered to for all assigned trips.
- Escalate potential issues with members, in-destination support staff, trip itinerary, transfer details, hotel/activity booking to regional manager to mitigate potential risks for overall member satisfaction
- Additional requests and duties as requested by regional manager.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years experience in a Meeting/Event Planning role
  • Experience working in travel and/or passion for travel, preferred
  • English Proficiency
  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree, preferred
