The Director of Cruise Management will have primary responsibility for growing a $10M Cruise division to a $30-50M Cruise division through equal parts Procurement endeavors and Marketing/Sales endeavors.  This critical leader will play a transformative role in our buying and selling strategy to increase total cruise availability and sales and to deliver a higher quality better priced product for our members.


- Build and develop key relationships directly with cruise line and negotiate for improved procurement structure, rooms blocks, premium experiences, events, volume incentives, etc.
- Drive targeted increase in cruise sales across preferred supplies 30-50% per year.
- Elevate the Rovia brand to cruise providers and influence supplier perception of capability and sales potential
- Accountable for cruise implementation of global marketing strategies and overall product plan.
- Understands cruise specific travel desires and travel patterns of our travelers and leveraging that understanding to build a better product and traveler experience.
- Demonstrates a deep understanding of global market development in the cruise space including the GSA market.
- Supports growth and utilization of cruises by leading a team of Development Professionals for public, private, and group market space.
- Incorporates input from other departments and travelers to adjust strategies, launch schedules, pricing, and marketing objectives as needed.
- Works with marketing communications, social media, and digital marketing, field marketing, and sales channels to ensure that promotional materials of trips are relevant, accurate and support the marketing objectives.


  • 10 + years of travel procurement / product development experience overall
  • 5+ years specifically within cruise (Group, Charter, River, Global)
  • 3+ years experience with global travel regulations and understanding of current global travel regulations
  • 5+ years experience leading teams
  • Demonstrated history of developing cruise businesses
  • In-depth business knowledge in the areas of product plans, forecasting, business plans, strategy, and budgeting
  • Deep understanding of and ability to leverage volume model
  • Proven understanding of promotional aspects of marketing, including social media and digital marketing.
  • A track record of successfully working with travel fulfillment providers.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Able to think critically and creatively, formulate a vision and spearhead resolutions to conquer challenges.
  • Ability to design and implement systems and processes.
  • Willing to travel up to 30%
  • B.A or B.S in Business, Marketing or Communications or equivalent experience
  • Certifications in Hospitality, Travel & Tourism are a plus
