The Regional Director APAC oversees all the business functions for the APAC region and reports to the Vice President Rovia EMEA and APAC. 

The Regional Director has responsibility for the following business areas:

  1. Travel Services & Product Procurement – Oversees a team of approximately 10 procurement & support professionals and focuses on the curating and procurement of our DreamTrips group and individual travel experiences. The Director provides leadership to a team accountable for the account management of hotel travel suppliers, and the procurement and development of DreamTrips and Online Travel Website. This will include sourcing directly with travel suppliers (Hotel Chains, Tour Operators, DMCs, Aggregators etc.), and working collaboratively with Preferred Partners and DreamTrips Development Professionals. The Director works cross-functionally with group travel intermediaries and the In-Destination Experiences team to assist in vendor management related to DreamTrips fulfillment. 
  2. Travel Operations and In Destination Support – Oversees a team of approximately 8 operations and IDS professionals focused on the delivery of the travel services to our members and the In Destination Support professionals or hosts supporting the operations with the Dreamtrip groups on the ground. Has overall responsibility for the DreamTrip Quality and all vendor communications to include inventory management and attrition.
  3. Executive – Assists VP with everything from general office logistics to regional remediation and licensing for Rovia in Hong Kong. Regional Director will be the direct liaison to Hong Kong authorities for all issues regarding legal, employee, taxation and corporate structure for the company.  Also oversees the functioning of the Singapore office and 3 employees there.


- Provide leadership to the entire APAC team geographically dispersed in successfully partnering and contracting with hotel travel suppliers, demonstrating skills in account management and new business development and travel product delivery. Owns the overall Dreamtrip Quality scores for the region.
- Works with VP and Dreamtrip commercial in the development of the yearly product plan and the entire Dreamtrip design and contracting processes.
- Achieves Cost of Goods Sold goals in the negotiating and works close with the field leadership to deliver the products they want at the right time and right price.
- Manages the DreamTrips supply pipeline by working closely with Product
- Marketing for supply demand and forecasting consistency and to gain an understanding of cultural differences, travel patterns and traveler desires specific to the assigned market.
- Receives direction from the Product Design team and Regional leadership on the requirements of a DreamTrip experience and procures accordingly.
- Works cross-functionally within the Travel Products team to drive trip utilization, minimize risks, and to deliver on a quality in-destination experience.
- Manages a preferred supplier program by conducting quarterly reviews with the goal of maximizing revenue opportunities and maintaining the supplier relationship throughout the contract.
- Works with Ops manager to ensure the highest quality of hosts are utilized on the Dreamtrips and provided with training and customer service skills.
- Consistently approach the business as an experienced consultant with the highest level of integrity.
- Attends travel marts as a buyer and brand ambassador. 


  • 10+ years of travel industry experience in the tour operator and/or DMC sectors.
  • Demonstrated experience and background in Hong Kong corporate structure for the travel industry with legal and employment law background.
  • Previous background in hospitality and hotel management is desirable.
  • 5+ years leading a travel operation team with 15+ employees.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills including V-Lookup and Pivot Tables
  • Advanced Power Point - Creation and editing of presentation
  • Native level fluency in English (Written and Verbal)
  • Must be Hong Kong resident OR able to to relocate to Hong Kong at own expense.

    Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Experienced executive leadership.
  • Advanced procurement, supply chain, distribution, and logistics competence.
  • Advanced project management, negotiation, contractual skills and customer relationship management
  • Experience in reservation systems desired
  • Must have experience negotiating with travel suppliers, preferably as a buyer.
