Overview

WorldVentures, a dynamic, global, fast growing member based travel company, is currently sourcing for a Cruise Planner to be based in our Plano headquarters. The Cruise Planner is responsible for providing engaging and timely travel related updates to members traveling on appointed DreamTrip Cruises. The role is also responsible for collecting key member details, berthing cabins with the cruise line, invoicing members, providing the cruise line with group travel arrangements, and providing support to in-destination support staff to ensure readiness and knowledge to help ensure overall member satisfaction in-destination.

Responsibilities (Text Only)

- Monitor live departures daily for new bookings; berth the member directly with the cruise line.
- Request and post payments to individual cruise line reservations.
- Manage DreamTrips rooming lists, comparing the final rooming list with the cruise line to ensure accuracy.
- Coordinate onboard arrangements including but not limited to welcome tables and cocktail receptions.
- Collaborate with the cruise line to ensure platinum members receive the appropriate inclusions.
- Communicate travel and itinerary changes as received by the cruise line to members and in-destination support staff via appropriate communication channels (social media, email, etc…).
- Create an in-destination packet of key information (currency, attractions, dining, transit options, weather, travel alerts, passenger details, etc..) and detailed itinerary for support staff on all appointed destinations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure trip communications and in-destination experience are aligned with initial trip design requirements.
- Create social media (currently Facebook) event page and link to Dreamtrips banner page. Manage event page providing multiple posts after creation and up to sailing.
- Create and communicate informational ‘GoGuide’ to members which includes relevant cruise destination & Itinerary details, in-destination support person, member inclusions, weather, travel tips and more.
- Escalate potential issues with members, in-destination support staff, trip itinerary, transfer details, cruise/hotel/activity booking to global cruise manager to mitigate potential risks for overall member satisfaction
- Additional requests and duties as requested

Qualifications

  • 2+ years relevant experience in travel and/or hospitality industries
  • Specialty experience within Cruise is highly preferred
  • Bi-lingual or Multi-lingual desired; verbal and written.
  • Associates degree or equivalent experience
  • High attention to detail, exceptional organization, and follow through skills
  • Polished and professional communication skills across multiple levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated customer service and delivery skills and ability to deliver a “best in class” experience
  • MS Office suite including: Excel, PowerPoint, Word as well as common social media platforms
